2017 Nan Desu Kan
Nan Desu Kan (NDK) is an Anime convention that is held in Denver each Year. Fitting many have have asked what does NDK mean. If you are new to cosplay (like me!), you will also ask the same of many of the outfits you will see (Cosplay). NDK loosely translated to "What is it."
NDK started in 1995 and held their first convention in the Tivoli on the Auraria Campus. The event continues to grow each year and has changed venues as the interest and attendance has grown, and in a few years, it will again be moving to a bigger venue! For the past two years the event was held throughout the Sheraton Downtown Hotel with cosplayers up and down the 16th street mall at various times during the 3 day convention. To learn more about NDK as well as their sponsor, Rocky Mountain Anime Association (a non profit organization promoting Japanese culture in Colorado), please visit their websites NDK Denver and RMAA.
Each year NDK brings in numerous guests ranging from anime stars in different panels and autograph sessions, to local talent also hosting panels ranging in various topics. Attendees and guests can enjoy an artist and vendors area, Cosplay Karaoke, an Anime Music Showcase and contest, as well as several board, and video game rooms and contest.
